Weather lore

Weather lore is a type of old-fashioned knowledge that people often used to predict what the weather might be like. People believed that certain things could predict what the weather would be like, such as seeing certain types of animals, hearing certain sounds, or noticing changes in the temperature, fog, wind, or rain. For example, some people believed that if there was a lot of fog early in the morning, it meant that it would be warmer the next day. People also believed that if a certain type of bird was seen in the morning, it predicted sunny weather later in the day.
