Welding defect

Welding is when two pieces of metal are joined together by melting them with heat and then letting them cool and harden. A welding defect is when something goes wrong with the welding process and the pieces of metal don't join together properly. This can happen for different reasons, like when the heat is not strong enough or the welding machine is not working right.

Some common welding defects are when there are cracks in the weld or when the metal is not fused together all the way. This can be dangerous because it can cause the metal to break or crack in the future. Welding inspectors check for defects to make sure that the welded pieces will be safe and strong. So, like when you're building with blocks or Legos, it's important to make sure all the pieces are put together correctly or your creation could fall apart.
