Welfare trap

A welfare trap is when people use government welfare programs as a way of making money instead of actually trying to find a job. People who use welfare trap get money from the government each month, but they are not trying to get a job. The government gives people who are poor money so that they can afford the basics like food, rent, and other necessities. But if people use the money from the government instead of finding a job, it can be a problem because the money isn't helping them become self-sufficient. They might get stuck in a cycle of relying on the government for money instead of working to make a living.
