Welsh Wars of Independence

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, the country we know today as Wales was not part of England. It was its own country with its own language, culture, and leaders. However, the English King wanted to take control of Wales and make it part of his kingdom. The Welsh people didn't want that to happen because they wanted to keep their own way of life.

So, the Welsh people decided to fight for their independence. They had many battles with the English army and their leaders, like Owain Glyndwr, led them bravely. The Welsh people used different tactics to protect their land, like building castles and fortresses to defend themselves.

The wars for Welsh independence lasted for many years and were very difficult for both sides. Many people were hurt and many others lost their lives. But in the end, the Welsh people won their freedom and became their own country once again.

Today, Wales is still its own country, with its own language and culture, but it is part of the United Kingdom. The Welsh people are proud of their history and their battle for independence, and they still celebrate their victories today.
