Welsh rarebit

Okay kiddo, have you ever eaten grilled cheese? Well, Welsh rarebit is kind of like a fancier and more fancy version of grilled cheese. It's originally from Wales, which is a country in the United Kingdom.

To make Welsh rarebit, you start by making a sauce. Think of it like making the cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese. But instead of macaroni, we're going to use bread.

First, you get a pot and put some butter in it. You melt the butter and then add flour to it. You want to keep stirring the mixture so it doesn't burn. Then you add some milk and keep stirring until the mixture gets thick.

Now comes the fun part. You add cheese to the mixture and stir it until it melts. This is what makes the sauce so yummy and cheesy.

Once the sauce is ready, it's time to toast some bread. You can use any kind of bread you like. White bread, wheat bread, or even sourdough bread.

You put the toasted bread on a plate and pour the cheese sauce on top of it. Some people like to sprinkle some paprika or Worcestershire sauce on top for an extra kick.

Now you have a delicious and fancy meal that looks like a grilled cheese sandwich but is so much more. Enjoy, little one!
