ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wendell Berry

Wendell Berry is a man who thinks a lot about the environment and how people use the land. He believes that we should take care of the Earth and use its resources wisely, so that we can continue to live on it for a long time without hurting it too much.

He also believes that small, local farms are better than big, industrial ones, because they are more connected to the land and the community. He thinks that farmers should grow a variety of crops and use methods that protect the soil and the plants, rather than just growing one thing over and over again and using a lot of chemicals to make it grow.

Wendell Berry is also a writer, and he has written many books and essays about these ideas. His writing can be a little bit complicated, but he always tries to explain things in a way that everyone can understand. He wants people to think about their relationship to the land and to each other, and to take responsibility for making the world a better place.
