Western Christianity

Western Christianity is a type of Christianity practiced in the western part of the world that follows the teachings of Jesus, a man who lived in the Middle East over 2,000 years ago.
Jesus taught people how to live with love and kindness and how to love God. Western Christianity is practiced mostly in Europe, the Americas, and Australia. The beliefs are based on the Bible, which is a book of stories, teachings, and instructions about Jesus and his teachings. Most Christians in the western world follow either Catholic or Protestant beliefs. Catholic beliefs see the Pope as the head of their church and believe that Mary and Jesus' other family members were holy figures. Protestant beliefs focus more on the Bible as the major source of truth and do not believe that Mary or other family members are holy.
