Wetland classification

Wetlands are special places where water and land meet. Wetland classification is a way of organizing different kinds of wetlands so that scientists and nature lovers can better understand them. Wetland classification divides wetlands into categories based on things like the water sources, the types of plants and animals that live in the wetland, and the soil and geology of the wetland. By grouping wetlands into these categories, we can learn more about their individual characteristics and how they support the environment and the wildlife that lives there.
