ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Whole foods

Whole foods are foods that are not processed or changed in any way. These foods are natural and healthy for our bodies. They are like the fruits and vegetables you see when you go to the grocery store with your mom or dad. These foods are better for you than the snacks you might see on TV commercials or in the candy aisle. When we eat whole foods, we are giving our bodies the nutrients and vitamins it needs to grow and be strong. It's like giving your body the tools it needs to help you run faster, jump higher, and feel good all day. Just like when we use good fuel in our car, we get better performance out of it, when we put good, whole foods in our bodies, we feel better and can do more things without getting tired as quickly. So, always try to choose whole foods when you can, like fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds!
