ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

WildMIDI

Wildmidi is a tool that helps to make computer music sound more like real instruments. When you listen to music on the computer, you might hear sounds that don't quite sound like real instruments. Wildmidi makes it so that the music sounds more realistic by using something called MIDI files. MIDI files are like a set of instructions that the computer uses to create music.

Wildmidi helps the computer to read these MIDI files and turn them into sounds that are much more realistic. It does this by using something called soundfonts. Soundfonts are like a library of sounds that the computer can use to create the music. When Wildmidi reads the MIDI file, it uses the soundfonts to create sounds that are more like real instruments, such as a guitar or a trumpet.

In simple terms, Wildmidi makes computer music sound more like real instruments by using these special instructions called MIDI files and a library of sounds called soundfonts. It's like having your own mini orchestra on your computer!
