William Tyndale

William Tyndale was a very important person in history. He was a scholar in the 1500's and he wanted people to be able to read and understand the Bible. At the time, only people who knew Latin could understand the Bible. He translated the Bible into English so that everyday people could read and understand it. He was very brave to do this and it cost him his life; he was eventually chased out of his home country and arrested, and he was executed for translating the Bible. He is remembered as a very brave and important person, and his work made it possible for all people to read and understand the Bible.
