Wiltja

A wiltja is like a big outdoor tent that some Indigenous people in Australia use to stay in when they are out camping or hunting. Instead of being made out of fabric like most tents, wiltjas are made from things like branches, leaves, grass, and even animal skins. The branches are bent and woven together in a dome shape to make the frame of the wiltja, and then other materials are added to cover it up and make it comfortable to sleep in.

Wiltjas are really helpful because they provide shelter from the sun, wind, and rain. They also help keep people warm at night when it gets chilly. Wiltjas have been used for a really long time by Indigenous people in Australia, and they are still used today by some communities as a way to keep up their traditions and ways of life.
