Wind resource assessment is like playing a guessing game. You have to try to figure out how much wind is available in a certain area for making energy. To do this, you use special instruments called anemometers to measure how fast the wind is blowing, and how often it is blowing, in certain areas. You also use other instruments to measure other things like temperature and humidity, to make sure the wind is strong and consistent enough to be used as an energy source. After you measure the wind and other things in an area, you can calculate how much energy you can get from the wind. That's wind resource assessment!
