ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wind-powered land vehicle

Okay kiddo, so you know how when you blow air out of your mouth it can move a toy or a leaf? Well, that's kind of what happens with a wind-powered land vehicle.

Imagine a toy car that has a big fan on top instead of an engine. When the wind blows, it spins the fan and that creates energy that can move the car.

But it's not just any wind that can power the car, it needs to be a strong and steady wind. That's why these cars are usually used on wide, open spaces like big fields or beaches where the wind can blow freely without any obstacles.

Now, some wind-powered land vehicles are much bigger than a toy car, and they can be used to transport people and even things like cargo. They look a bit like a sailboat with wheels instead of a boat.

So, if you ever see a car that looks like it has a big sail on top, or a toy car with a fan instead of an engine, you'll know it's powered by the wind!
