Women in China
Ok kiddo, so in China, there are a lot of girls and women, just like everywhere else in the world. But sometimes, people in China treat females differently than males.
For example, a long time ago, families would want boys because they thought boys could do more work and they would carry on the family’s name. So, sometimes, families would not like having girls, and they would give them away or even harm them. This is very mean and not fair to girls, right?
Nowadays, things are much better for girls in China, but sometimes they still face challenges. They might not have the same opportunities as boys, and they might not get paid as much as boys for doing the same job.
But, many girls and women are fighting for their rights and for equality in China. They are standing up for themselves and making changes happen. For example, there are now laws to protect girls from being abandoned or harmed, and more girls are going to school and getting jobs than ever before.
So, even though there’s still room for improvement, girls and women in China are amazing and strong, and they will keep fighting for their rights and dreams!
