Women in post-classical warfare

Okay kiddo, let me explain. In the past, there were some women who were involved in fighting during and after the classical period. They showed that girls can be strong and brave too!

Back then, there were different reasons why women were involved in warfare. Sometimes, they had to protect their families and homes when enemies attacked. Other times, they fought to support their husbands, brothers or sons in battle.

Women in warfare also had different roles. They could be commanders, strategists, spies, or even warriors themselves. Some women fought alongside the men, using weapons such as swords, bows and arrows, and even horses.

However, being a woman in post-classical warfare was not always easy. Women who fought were often looked down upon and not given the same respect as men. They had to prove themselves over and over again, and some were even punished for breaking social norms.

But despite these challenges, some women were able to make their mark in history as successful warriors. One of the most famous examples is Joan of Arc, a teenage girl who led the French army to victory against the English in the 15th century.

So, although it was not common for women to be involved in warfare in the past, there were some who showed that gender does not limit a person's abilities.
