ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Women's Action Forum

Okay kiddo, so Women's Action Forum (WAF) is a group of ladies who got together to help women have better lives. They wanted to make sure that women are treated and respected equally to men.

You know how sometimes boys and girls are treated differently? Girls might be told they can't do certain things because they are girls, or even have to wear different clothes than boys. Well, those ladies in Women's Action Forum didn't think that was fair. So they started working together to change that.

They made sure that girls could go to school just like boys, and that women could work and get paid the same amount as men. They talked to people in charge and even protested when they needed to.

WAF also helped women who were being treated unfairly. They stood up for women who were being harassed or abused, and made sure they were protected and given justice.

So, all in all, Women's Action Forum is a really good group of women who care about making the world a fairer and better place for all women, just like you and I!
