Women's colleges in the United States

Hey there kiddo! Have you ever heard of women's colleges in the United States? They are special schools just for girls!

Just like how you have a school with only boys or only girls in your neighborhood, there are big schools in America that only let girls in. These schools are called women's colleges.

Now, do you want to know why they started making women's colleges in America? A long time ago, people thought that only boys could be good at things like math, science and even becoming a doctor. Girls didn't get a chance to go to school because some people believed girls weren't smart enough for certain subjects. However, some women wanted to change this way of thinking.

That's why they started women's colleges so that girls could learn everything they wanted to know, just like boys. Women's colleges believe that girls can do everything just as well or even better than boys, so they teach them everything from math and science to literature and art.

So if a girl wants to go to a school where she can learn anything she wants without anyone telling her that she can't, a women's college is the perfect option for her!

Some popular women's colleges in America are Smith College, Barnard College, and Bryn Mawr College. They are all amazing schools with lots of smart girls who are going to change the world someday!
