ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Workaway

Do you know what a sleepover is? It's when you go to a friend's house and sleep over for a night or two. Well, Workaway is kind of like a sleepover, but instead of going to your friend's house, you go to someone else's house in a different country and help them with some work.

The work could be anything from gardening to helping in a restaurant. You get to live with the family or person you're working with, eat meals with them, learn about their culture and you might even get to go sightseeing with them.

In exchange for helping them, they give you a place to sleep, food to eat and usually some free time to explore the area. It's a great way to make new friends and see different parts of the world while also helping people out.
