ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

World Osteoporosis Day

World Osteoporosis Day is a special day that reminds people to take care of their bones. Just like how we take care of our teeth by brushing them, we should also take care of our bones by keeping them strong and healthy. Osteoporosis is a big, complicated word that means bones become weak and break easily. Adults, especially women who are older, can get osteoporosis because they didn't take care of their bones when they were younger. World Osteoporosis Day is here to remind everyone that it's important to keep our bones strong by eating healthy foods, doing exercises that make our bones stronger, and visiting the doctor regularly. That way, we can continue to play, run and jump happily without worrying about our bones breaking.
