World Programme for the Census of Agriculture

Hi there! Do you know what a census is? It's when we count things, like how many people live in a particular country or city.

Well, the World Programme for the Census of Agriculture is a big project that happens every 10 years where countries from all over the world count how many farms there are and how many crops and animals they have.

They also collect information about who runs these farms, like if they are men or women and how old they are.

This helps us understand how much food we produce in the world and where it's coming from. It also helps governments decide how to support farmers and make policies that can help improve agriculture.

It's kind of like taking a picture of all the farms in the world, so we know what they look like now and can see if things change over the years.
