Energy is something that we use to make our lives easier. The world has many different sources of energy, and these are called 'energy resources'. Examples of energy resources are fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas; renewable sources like solar, wind and water; and nuclear energy. All of these resources come from the Earth and give us energy to do things like turn on lights, heat our homes, run factories, and power our cars. The most common energy resource is fossil fuels, which come from the remains of plants and animals that lived long ago. Renewable energy sources are things like sunlight, wind and water, which are constantly being replenished by nature so that we can use them for a long time. Nuclear energy is produced when atoms in uranium and other elements break apart, and is used for things like electricity and medical treatments. The world is quickly running out of fossil fuels and replacing them with renewable energy sources is becoming more important. Renewable energy sources don't pollute the air or create dangerous waste like fossil fuels do. It is important for us to use energy resources wisely and look for new ways to create energy without harming our world.
