Writing Drama

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes when we watch a movie or a TV show or even read a book, there are characters who are going through really big emotions? They might be happy, or sad, or scared, or angry, or a lot of other things.

Well, a person who writes drama is someone who makes up those characters and decides what happens to them. They write down their stories and create situations where the characters have to feel all those big emotions.

Sometimes, the drama writer might create characters who are really different from each other or are in situations that are hard to handle. For example, one character might be very outgoing and wants to be a famous singer, while another character might be very shy and doesn't like to be in front of people. The writer might put these characters together and make them have a big argument about what they should do next.

The drama writer has to think really hard about what will make the story interesting and keep people wanting to know what happens next. They also have to be really good at making the characters seem like real people, with thoughts and feelings that we can understand and relate to.

So, that's what a drama writer does, they make up stories and characters that make us feel lots of emotions and want to know what happens next. Pretty cool, right?
