ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Zhanmadao

Zhanmadao is a type of very big and strong sword that comes from China. It is usually around 6 feet long, which is taller than many people! The sword has a handle where someone holds onto it and a sharp blade at the end.

This type of sword was used by soldiers a long, long time ago in China to fight in wars. They would swing the sword in big, powerful motions to try and protect themselves and attack their enemies. It was really important for the sword to be strong and durable so it wouldn't break during battle.

Nowadays, people might still use a zhanmadao for things like martial arts practice, where they can learn how to do the cool spins and moves that warriors used to do with the sword. But mostly, it's just a really cool looking sword that people collect or show off in museums!
