Zoroastrianism in Armenia

Zoroastrianism is a type of religion that was started a very long time ago in a place called Persia, which is now known as Iran. This religion believes in one all-powerful God who created everything in the world. People who follow this religion believe that this God helps them to be good people, and that being good will make them happy.

Now, Armenia is a country located in the Caucasus region, next to Iran. Many years ago, some people in Armenia started following Zoroastrianism as their way of believing in God. They believed that by being good and following the teachings of this religion, they will be blessed with happiness and success.

In Armenia, there were a few different groups of people who followed Zoroastrianism. They had special rituals and ceremonies to celebrate important events, like weddings and funerals. They also had special places of worship called fire temples where they would go to worship and pray to their God.

Over time, however, Zoroastrianism in Armenia started to decline. This was due to the influence of other religions and social changes. Today, there are only a few people in Armenia who still follow Zoroastrianism.

In summary, Zoroastrianism is a religion that started a long time ago in Persia and it follows the belief in one powerful God. Some people in Armenia also followed this religion but over time it became less common due to other religions and social changes.
