bear and bull

A bear and a bull are two different ways of looking at the stock market. A bear market is when stocks lose value and prices go down. This typically happens when investors are worried about the economy, and they think that stocks won't be worth as much in the future. A bull market is the opposite. Stocks go up in price and investors are more confident that the market and stocks will continue to do well.
