ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

bo-taoshi

Bo-taoshi is a game that is kind of like a very fun war between two teams. The teams have to protect their own pole (called a bo), which is a big stick standing up straight in the ground, and try to knock over the other team's pole.

The game starts with both teams on opposite sides of the field. At the start signal, both teams rush towards their own pole and try to climb up it to touch the top. When they do that, they start to defend their pole by wrapping their arms and bodies around it.

The other team's goal is to knock down the first team's pole, and to do this they have to get past all the people who are defending it. They can try to push their way through, or throw people off of the pole.

The first team is also trying to knock down the other team's pole, so they have to send some players over to the other side of the field to try to do that while still keeping some people defending their own pole.

The game ends when one team's pole is knocked down, either by the other team or by accident.

Bo-taoshi is a popular game in Japan, and it's really exciting to watch and play. It requires teamwork, strategy, and physical strength, but most importantly, it's a lot of fun!
