Clouds are made of tiny water droplets or ice crystals that float in the sky. The water droplets or ice crystals form when warm air rises and cools, and they are made of the same water that is in oceans, lakes, and streams. When the water droplets or ice crystals become too heavy, they fall back to the ground as rain, snow or hail.
