ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

college board

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of the test called the SAT? It's a test that a lot of high school students take to see how well they understand certain topics like math and reading.

Well, the College Board is the organization that makes and administers the SAT test (as well as some other tests related to going to college). They are in charge of making sure that the test is fair and accurate, and they also send out the scores to colleges so that they can see how well a student did on the test.

But the College Board does more than just make tests! They also offer resources and programs to help students get ready for college, and they work on different initiatives to try and make college more accessible to everyone. So basically, the College Board helps students get ready for college and helps make sure that the college application process is fair and easy to understand.
