destruction of early islamic heritage sites in saudi arabia

Okay kiddo, so there's this big country called Saudi Arabia, and a long time ago, people there started following a new religion called Islam. As this religion grew and spread, people built lots of important buildings and monuments to celebrate it.

But some people in charge of Saudi Arabia don't like these old buildings and think they should be destroyed. This is called the destruction of early Islamic heritage sites.

It's kind of like if you had a toy you really liked, but someone else didn't like it and smashed it with a hammer. It's not fair or right, but unfortunately, it's happening in Saudi Arabia to these important Islamic buildings.

This is making a lot of people sad and upset because these buildings are important to the history of Islam and should be preserved so that future generations can learn about them.
