ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

embedded reporting

Ok kiddo, so embedded reporting is like having a secret agent (report) hidden inside a place (application) where lots of important stuff happens. This secret agent (report) keeps an eye on everything that's going on and sends the information back to you so you can make good decisions.

Let's say you have a lemonade stand and you want to know how much money you're making each day. You could keep track of it on a piece of paper, but that's not very efficient. So you decide to use a special machine (application) that's made just for keeping track of money.

But, you also want to see fancy charts and graphs that show you how much money you're making over time, and how much of each ingredient you're using. This is where the secret agent (report) comes in.

You can have a special report that's hidden inside the machine (application) that keeps track of all this information for you. Every time you sell a lemonade, the secret agent (report) sends the information back to you and you can see it in pretty charts and graphs.

So, embedded reporting is like having a secret agent (report) that you can access without having to switch between different applications. It helps you to see all your important information in one place, making it easier for you to make good decisions!
