Fourier Transform is a way of taking a signal (like the sound of a song) and breaking it down into the different pitches that make up the sound. Think of it like taking a big jigsaw puzzle and dividing it into many smaller pieces. Each piece represents one of the pitches in the signal. We use Fourier Transform to help us analyze sound, like figuring out which pitches make up a song or taking recorded speech and turning it into text.
