how do human eyes work

Human eyes work like a camera. They have a lens that focuses light. The lens bends the light and sends it through a tiny hole called the pupil. Inside the eye, the light hits the back of the eye and creates an upside-down picture. The upside-down picture travels through the eyeball until it hits a part called the retina. The retina turns the upside-down picture right-side up and then sends signals through the optic nerve to your brain. Your brain turns these signals into a thing you can see - like a flower or your friend!
