how solar works

Solar works by using energy from the sun. Sunlight is made up of millions of tiny particles of energy called photons. When the sun's energy (photons) hits a special kind of material, called a solar cell, the energy is absorbed by the cell. This energy makes electrons inside the cell move, and as the electrons move, electricity is created! This electricity can be used to power things like lights and TVs.
