hydroponics

Hydroponics is a way of growing plants without soil. Instead of soil, the plants are put in a liquid solution that contains all the nutrients and minerals that the plant needs to grow. The liquid solution is usually stored in a big tray or tank, which is kept moist so the plant's roots can absorb the nutrients. Hydroponics can help plants to grow bigger and faster than they would in soil.
