Richard Dawkins is a scientist and writer who is famous for his work in biology. He studies how living things change over time and how they adapt to the environments they live in. He wrote a book called The Selfish Gene which explains how evolution works. Dawkins has also been a very outspoken critic of religion and has written several books and articles about why he believes religion is not useful for understanding the world. He believes that science and reason should be our guides, not religious belief.
