ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

rugby

Rugby is a sport that looks a bit like football. It is played on a big grass field or sometimes a field made of artificial turf. Two teams of 15 players each try to score points by carrying an oval shaped ball and moving it towards the opponent's end zone. Players are allowed to run and pass the ball to each other but they have to stay within the rules, or else they will get penalized. To score, the ball has to be touched down (sometimes called 'tried') in the opponent's end zone. Tackling is allowed and it is a very important part of the game. There are also some other special rules, like scrums and lineouts. It's a lot of fun to watch and play!
