ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

weight training

Weight training is when you lift weights to help your muscles get stronger. Weight training makes muscles work against gravity or some other type of resistance (like lifting weights), and it makes the muscles grow and get stronger. When you lift a weight, your muscles work to keep your body balanced and controlled. They also help you move your body and perform certain activities. When you keep repeating this activity, your muscles start to get used to it and get stronger.
