Wireless power transfer is a way to get energy (in the form of electricity) to a device without having to use wires or cords. It's like the magic in the Disney movie Tangled, where the princess's hair can be charged up magically from a distance. Wireless power basically works the same way - you have one transmitter unit that sends the power, and then a receiver unit that collects the power and uses it to charge up whatever it’s connected to. The transmitter and receiver use something called magnetic fields to transfer the power from one to the other, and it happens without having to use any wires.
