2009 Bronx terrorism plot
So, a long time ago in the year 2009, some very bad people wanted to hurt other people who lived in the Bronx in New York City. They wanted to do something called "terrorism," which means they wanted to scare and hurt people on purpose.
These bad guys made a plan to put bombs in cars and then try to explode them in front of some very important buildings, like a synagogue, which is a special place where people who believe in a certain religion go to pray together.
But thankfully, the police found out about the bad guys' plan before they could do any harm. The police stopped the bad guys and put them in jail for trying to do something very, very wrong.
It's important to remember that hurting others is never okay and that the police work hard to keep us safe.
