ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Access journalism

Access journalism is when journalists get to talk to someone important like a politician or celebrity, and get special information. It’s like going to a party and talking to the guest of honor. The guest of honor might tell you some interesting news, or some behind-the-scenes information that nobody else knows. Journalists who get access to important people can get stories that others don’t have.
