Adaptive bias

Adaptive bias is a tendency to think or act in a certain way, even if the way we are thinking or acting is not the right or smartest thing to do. It's like a kind of automatic reaction—we do the same thing again and again, even if it may not be the right way to do it. For example, if an animal is always rewarded for performing a certain task, they might learn to repeat that same task over and over, even if another task might be better or give them a better reward.
