Archaeoastronomy

Archaeoastronomy is the study of how humans in the past used the stars and other forms of astronomy to understand the world around them. It is sometimes called the “oldest science” because people have been doing it since ancient times. Archaeologists have found evidence of people building structures like Stonehenge to track the motions of the sun and moon, for example. Some cultures used the stars to tell time, figure out when to plant and harvest crops, and even map the locations of stars and planets. Today, many people still use archaeoastronomy to learn more about our ancient ancestors and unravel their mysteries.
