An autobiography is a book that someone writes about their own life, kind of like a really long story. It's like telling the story of everything that has ever happened to them, starting from when they were born until now. They write it all down so that other people can read it and learn about their life. Sometimes, people write an autobiography because they are really famous or have done something really important or interesting. Other times, they just want to share their story with the world. It's kind of like writing your own history book about your life!
