ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Block-level storage

Block-level storage is like a refrigerator in your home: you can put things inside it, like food, and you can take things out whenever you want. With block-level storage, instead of food, you can put huge amounts of data inside it. Once it's inside, you can access that data by asking for specific "blocks" of data, sort of like when you open the door of your refrigerator and you can grab the milk or eggs from inside. You can ask for any block that you need, and the data will be sent back to you exactly as you requested it.
