ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Build automation

Okay kiddo, imagine you're playing with Legos. You have all the pieces you need to build something awesome, but putting it together can take a lot of time and work.

Now imagine you have a special machine that can put your Legos together for you! This is kind of what build automation is like.

Build automation is a fancy way of saying that we use a computer program to do the hard work of building software for us. Software is made up of lots of different pieces, like code, images, and settings.

With build automation, we create a set of instructions for the computer to follow, telling it how to put all those pieces together into a working piece of software.

Just like your Lego machine can speed up the building process, build automation saves us time and helps us avoid mistakes when we're building software. Plus, we can easily make changes to our instructions to build new versions of the software whenever we need to.

So there you have it - build automation is like having a magical Lego machine that puts all the pieces together for us!
