Chambered cairn

A chambered cairn is like a big house that people made a long, long time ago. It's made out of big rocks that they piled up on top of each other. The house is made like a big circle and has a special room in the middle called a "chamber."

Inside the chamber, there are little rooms made out of rocks that are called "cells." These cells were where people put important things like bones, jewelry, and other special objects. People who lived a long, long time ago used these buildings to do important things like meeting together, sleeping, and sharing food.

Chambered cairns are usually found in places where people used to live a long time ago, like Scotland, Ireland, and other countries. They are very special because they tell us about how people used to live a long, long time ago and how they built big things using very basic tools.
