Flag families

Okay kiddo, so you know how there are different countries in the world, right? And each country has their own flag that represents them. Well, some people have something called "flag families". These are groups of flags that have something in common, like colors or symbols.

For example, the American flag has red, white, and blue stripes. The British flag also has red and blue, but it also has a white background and a red cross. These two flags are part of the "Union Jack family" because they both have red, white, and blue in some way.

Another example is the Nordic flags family. This includes flags from countries like Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. These flags all have the same cross shape on them, but with different colors.

So basically, flag families are groups of flags with something in common, and it's fun to learn about them!
