Forest integrated pest management

Forest integrated pest management is like making sure there are no bad bugs in the forest.

You know how sometimes bugs can eat or harm trees? Like how you might get ants on your picnic or mosquitoes biting you? Well, those same bugs can be bad for trees too!

But we don't want to spray everything with yucky bug spray, because that could hurt the good bugs, like butterflies or bees or ladybugs.

So, forest integrated pest management is like coming up with ways to stop the bad bugs from hurting the trees without hurting the good bugs. We might release friendly bugs that eat the bad ones, or plant certain plants that keep the bad bugs away.

This helps keep the forest healthy and strong!
