Leitkultur

Leitkultur is a German word that means "guiding culture". It refers to a set of values and beliefs that people in a particular society think are important, and that are shared by most people in that society. For example, a leitkultur could be shared values such as respect for the rule of law, respect for human rights, and respect for each other. Everyone in the society should follow these values and beliefs, so that everyone can live peacefully together.
